The month of January in California is Restaurant Month! That’s right, one whole month of culinary genius throughout the Golden State.
In addition to the California Culinary Scene, there are plenty of activities for the whole family. Fuel your Dreams with experiences such as Surf and Ski Adventures, creating your own LA LA Land Experience, Entertainment Experiences, Road Trips and so much more. If you have always wanted to Visit California, make it a priority, the Mountains, and the Ocean will fuel your soul.
We were excited to partner with Visit California to take our #Foodiechats Community on a #DreamEats adventure. We began with our online #Foodiechats Twitter Chat which was on Monday, January 23, 2017, at 8 pm ET. Our Community (451 participants) joined our #DreamEats conversation as we all shared about and learned about the California Culinary Scene.
The #Foodiechats Team was live in L.A. and we hit up three great hotspots during our online conversation. Connie and Ted’s, The Hudson LA and Laurel Hardware. They’re all within walking distance from each other so it’s a great area to bar hop.
On Tuesday, we wanted to explore and hike, so we ventured to Griffith Park. Talk about Fueling your Dreams, once we hiked up the mountain, and arrived at the Griffith Park Observatory, the views are breathtaking, oh and you get a great view of the famous HOLLYWOOD sign. Bring a lot of water and your camera!
Tuesday evening, #Foodiechats along with the Visit California Team hosted a Social Media Influencer dinner at A.O.C Winebar. We had a very beautiful private room, Chef Driven Cuisine, amazing networking live and online, and in attendance was also Mr. California Dream Eater himself, Chase Ramsey. Chase along with Visit California has created a web series featuring great dining spots in California. We’ve highlighted one episode for you to enjoy. Follow @CaliforniaDreamEater on Instagram!
The Visit California Team had a professional photographer to chronicled the evening. Stay tuned to that photo album. Thank you to everyone who joined us; @suzannegoin, @carolinestyne, @foodiewidabooty, @tammylalaland, @chefserenapoon, @mayhemstudios, @charleschentv, @lastnameip, @hungryinla, @xtinaxenos, @devinalexander, @hungryhugh, @steveGOgreen, and @AngelaWoody.
Breakfast at Alma Restaurant was EGGCELLENT!
SugarFish Sushi was out of this world!
On Wednesday we headed to the breathtaking city of Redondo Beach which is just about 25 miles from West Hollywood. Here’s what ate and what we saw!
First up was Lunch at Bett0lino Kitchen: South Bay’s New Italian Kitchen
After a delicious lunch, we wanted to take in the sites in Redondo Beach before we headed to dinner.
We had to take a bike ride from Redondo Beach to Manhattan Beach to get a good work out in…We have to be Fit Foodies in our business.
After our 10-mile bike ride, we were ready for lunch. We headed back to International Pier and hit up Quality Seafood and enjoyed some of the best Poke we’ve ever had. Everything is freshly caught daily right there, so the quality and freshness second to none.
After lunch, we hit the road and traveled to beautiful San Diego. What a gorgeous drive from Redondo to San Diego!
We sought out the hottest spot in Ocean Beach called The Joint. The menu was drool worthy and here’s what ordered.
On Friday we explored Shelter Island and it was beyond stunning and offered a great restaurant and nightlife scene. Learn more about Shelter Island.
We dined at Bali Hai Restaurant which provided for the best views for lunch.
For dinner, we dined at Humphrey’s Restaurant and enjoyed listening to a live blues band and did a little dancing after dinner. We were also warmly welcomed by Executive Chef Nicolas Bour, who has cooked for Former President Obama.
We treated ourselves to some amazing oysters at another great spot on Shelter Island, Brigantine Seafood.
Saturday morning called for a delicious breakfast! We were hosted at Breakfast Republic, and it’s such a great place. They currently have three locations, with rapid expansion plans.
Another workout was needed so we took a quick drive to La Jolla to take in the sites and walk the town! What a beautiful area!
For lunch, we were hosted at Galaxy Taco in La Jolla. The cuisine is outstanding, but the star of the menu is their Tortillas. Here why…
For our Final #DreamEats meal, we were hosted at Herb and Wood in Little Italy. It’s a very beautiful restaurant with beautiful people.
Thank you VISIT CALIFORNIA we truly had a #DreamEats experience in the Golden State. We’ll be back.
